GH To The World: Empire Star Taraji Drags Ghana Into Nike’s Colin Kaepernick Ad Debate

Image
If you go to America today, one thing almost everybody is talking about is an advert from the sportswear brand, Nike. The conservative Americans are just going crazy over the fact that Nike chose to endorse Colin Kaepernick, an American quarterback who chooses to kneel instead of stand whenever the American National Anthem is played. Colin is doing that in protest against police brutality of minority groups, especially black people. Matching the Nike backlash from the conservatives is the total support of liberals and people from minority backgrounds. Empire star, Taraji P Henson is one of the celebrities who has publicly declared their support for both Nike and Colin. But for us, it is the way that she did it that made us super proud. She did it and pushed Ghana music to the world. Taraji shared a video of girls dancing on the street of London with Nii Funny’s “Gbogbo” song playing in the background on her IG with the caption “Dancing in my @Nike shoes like…….I a

This Is The Nike Colin Kaepernick Ad That’s Making Some White Americans Go Crazy

Image
Some conservative white Americans are going crazy and taking their anger onto the sportswear brand Nike. The source of all their frustrations is that Nike is using Colin Kaepernick, the American football star, as the face of its 30th-anniversary campaign called “Just do it.” Colin Kaepernick came to attention when he started kneeling whenever the American National Anthem was played at the start of a match instead of standing. Colin was protesting police brutality of minority groups in the United States especially the black community. But some conservative American accused Colin of disrespecting the American flag and the anthem by refusing to stand when it’s played. They say Colin was also disrespecting the many American soldiers who have laid down their lives to protect the freedom and liberty they enjoy today and for which the anthem symbolizes. However, they have also forgotten that civil disobedience and protest is also a right enjoined the same freedoms that the mi

Machine Gun Kelly Replies Eminem On “Red Devil” Diss Track

Image
Just days after Eminem slammed him on his new album, “Kamikaze”, Machine Gun Kelly has released a diss track about the rapper. But before we get to the diss itself, here’s a little background information. This beef goes all the way back to 2012 when MGK tweeted that Eminem’s daughter Hailie was “hot as f**k”, which was a highly inappropriate comment considering she was a teenager at the time. Fast-forward to a few days ago, and Eminem dissed MGK on his track “Not Alike,” rapping “And I’m talkin’ to you / but you already know who the f**k you are, Kelly / I don’t use sublimes and sure as fuck don’t sneak-diss / But keep commenting on my daughter Hailie.” https://youtu.be/4sNCyiyIc_8 And that brings us to Machine Gun Kelly’s newly dropped diss track “Rap Devil”, which you can listen to above and features the lyrics “Took you six years and a surprise album just to come with a diss,” AND “tough talk from a rapper paying millions for security a year / ‘I think my dad’s gone crazy

Image
The former Real Madrid star is reportedly earning more than three times the amount of the second highest-paid player, Gonzalo Higuain Cristiano Ronaldo is the highest-paid player in Serie A and earns three times more than anyone else in Italy’s top-flight, according to a report published by Gazzetta dello Sport. The Portuguese star has been the big talking point in Italy since his€100m (£88m/$117m) move to the Bianconeri in the summer. Juve have a perfect record after their first three games of the season, but Ronaldo is yet to score a goal for his team and has attracted criticism for his failure to find the net thus far. Despite his failure to score, it comes as no surprise that Ronaldo is top of the rankings when it comes to earnings, but the wage gap between the Juventus star and the rest of the league is quite astonishing. I don't need to be signed to Zylofon to support Zylofon Media – Sarkodie

Image
The most decorated rapper in Ghana, Sarkodie, has reacted to past rumors which suggested that he was approached by Zylofon media to join their label. Earlier this year, rumors went wild that the rapper was joining the 360 record label owned by business mogul Nana Appiah Mensah. However, the rapper in an interview with Andy Dosty on Hitz Fm has refuted such claims. According to him, there was never a conversation like that between him and Nana Appiah Mensah even though they are very close. “We never got a conversation like that but I had the opportunity to be very close to Nana Appiah Mensah and conversations that we’ve had, I think I understand his vision” He added that there’s a need for Ghanaians to support Zylofon Media to succeed because they have the intention to push Ghanaian music far. “I think we should all be Zylofon, not necessarily signed to the label. But we all have to support Zylofon, cause he [Nana Appiah Mensah] has this dream and I think he himself

I don’t want to lose my current standing; rather, I want to improve daily and make more money. I also want to expand my business.
