SHE POWER: Ahuofe Patricia leads campaign against sexual abuse

Priscilla Opoku Agyeman popularly known in showbiz as Ahuofe Patricia is embarking on a campaign to create awareness about domestic and sexual abuse. The project is put together by She Power, a non-governmental organisation which empowers young girls against sexual abuse in Africa. It also seeks to promote gender equality. This is in collaboration with Lokhanda with Ahoufe Patricia as founder and Executive Director of the project. She Power in accordance with the aspirations of the Ministry of Education is an effective Girl Child protection programme with an educational curriculum designed to create and ensure a culture of safety and security for all educational institutions. They teach practical, fun and appropriate means of awareness, prevention, escape and survival skills, and als provide long-term support for female child victims of sexual abuse. LEBRON JAMES SAYS HE REGRETS NAMING HIS SON AFTER HIM

LeBron James is revealing some of his deepest thoughts in the debut episode of The Shop. The celebrity father tells viewers that he sometimes regrets naming his oldest son, LeBron James Jr., after himself. “I still regret giving my 14-year-old my name,” the Los Angeles Lakers player shares in the episode. Compton rapper, Kendrick, made his acting debut in Sunday's night's episode of the TV drama, which stars executive producer 50 Cent. Ken plays a homeless man, trying to sell Fiddy some gift cards outside a shop. The story escalates pretty quickly though as Ken helps to provide a distraction while the New York hip hop star's character shoots a cyclist. “I can take his wallet too, right?,” asks Kendrick. Ken Fiddy responds: “Take his shoes too.” Kendrick duly obliges then does a little celebratory dance. Michael Rainey Jr, more popularly known through his on-screen character Tariq St Patrick, has long declared his love for Jamaica. In fact, when the star of 'Power' visited the island earlier this month, he referred to Jamaica as his first home pointing out that he has a special place in his heart for the black, green and gold During that interview with THE STAR, Rainey's mother, Shauna revealed that the actor had begun the process to get his Jamaican passport and Citizenship by descent. She said her son's love affair with Jamaica gives her a great feeling, especially since most of his family is of Jamaican descent. For more than a year, Rihanna and her label Roc Nation have been hunting for beats as they work to complete an album devoted to exploring the singer’s Caribbean roots, according to conversations with eight sources close to the project. In addition, two of those sources suggest that the singer is simultaneously at work on another pop-oriented album. Rihanna first mentioned the possibility of releasing a reggae-centric album publicly during a Vogue profile for the June issue, but her and her potential collaborators have been quiet ever since. According to the BET Awards nominee, the idea of starting to write music came to him after listening to Drake tell his own life stories in his songs. “My dad used to play music in the house. Dancehall artiste, Stonebwoy, has blamed an accident that occurred yesterday at Ashaiman on the indiscipline of Ghanaians. Stonebwoy, a resident of Ashaiman, took to Facebook to react to the accident. In his Facebook post, the singer mourned those who died through the accident and also wished those who got injured speedy recovery. Tema-based music producer, Benjamin Garzy Mensah aka Mix Masta Garzy revealed on Cape Coast-based Radio Central that Stonebwoy’s ‘Pull Up’ shot him to fame.
