Dr.Duncan signs deal with Onua 95.1FM to bring you ‘Akasamu’ the new 'Kasahari Show'

One of the big names in radio presenting in Ghana, Isaac Duncan Williams, popularly known as Dr. Duncan, has returned from his long break, but this time with something new on Accra’s fast-rising local radio station, Onua 95.1FM.

The man, who helped some of today’s big music acts to penetrate the industry, has signed a deal with Media General-owned Onua FM, where he is expected to unearth new raw music talents.

Sarkodie, D-Cryme, Stonebwoy, Yaa Pono, Kofi Korea, Stay Jay and Danso Abiam among others got their musical breakthrough thanks to Dr. Duncan, who gave them the platform to exhibit their dexterity years ago.

The “Brothers Brothers”, “Selein”, “Wo Masa Wo Mistress” and “Ekyirei ooh” man is back on air and this time together with his producer Papa Bills will give their listeners something different from what they have been experiencing previously.
As he returns on radio, Dr. Duncan will continue with this pursuit but in a broader sphere on a new show dubbed ‘Akasamu’, which will air every Saturday from 6:30pm to 9:00pm.

“Everybody is used to Kasahari; Kasahari was basically bringing rappers, Ghanaian hip hoppers into the studio.

“Akasamu is broader! We’re gonna be bringing in Kasahare rappers, we are gonna be bringing in dancehall [artiste]. If you’re good on the microphone, we’re gonna open the mic for you,” he said.
